Leading real estate agency integrates franchise locations

Leading real estate agency Bayleys has integrated three of its Auckland franchisee-owned residential sales offices under the operations of parent company Bayleys Real Estate Ltd.

The Bayleys North Shore operations consist of residential branches in the Auckland suburbs of Takapuna, Mairangi Bay and Albany, and were previously owned by Stanaway Real Estate Ltd. The integration does not involve any changes to the company's commercial and industrial sales sub-franchise operating on the North Shore, Devereux Howe-Smith Ltd, trading as Bayleys North Shore C & I.

Bayleys managing director Mike Bayley said the integration of the three North Shore residential offices would give the business greater scale of efficiency and would position the Bayleys brand for further expansion into the inner-harbour suburbs of the North Shore.

"As far as the public appearance of the Bayleys operations on the North Shore, and the service that our customers receive, vendors and potential sellers will not notice any difference or changes," Mr Bayley said.

The growth opportunities for residential property sales on the North Shore follow Bayleys' expansion last year when the company acquired five Ray White branches around the city's inner-west suburbs of Avondale, Mt Albert, Mt Eden, Point Chevalier and Sandringham.

"Auckland's North Shore has always been one of New Zealand's most prosperous regions for the past 30 years. It has transformed from a suburban location fringed by orchards and farmland, into a city in its own right - with a growing number of substantial commercial, retail, light manufacturing and industrial hubs which have pushed the northern boundary further and further," Mr Bayley said.

"We forecast this growth trend to continue - and bringing along the residential property market with it.

"The social and economic demographics of the North Shore sit perfectly with the Bayleys brand, and we have already identified areas within the region where we will be actively looking to grow our presence - which has traditionally been strongest from the Devonport peninsula along the coastal reaches of the East Coast Bays, then curling back through the lifestyle location of Okura."

Mike Bayley said the company was looking forward to continuing the long-standing community involvement relationships and partnerships which had been established by Stanaway Real Estate Ltd over the past decade, as well as showcasing the agency's premier sponsorship of the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind's Guide Dog Services.
