The No. 2 real estate brokerage in Western New York is having a red-hot year so far, surpassing $1 billion in sales volume through July, putting it well ahead of its own projections.
Buffalo-based Hunt Real Estate Corp. said it has exceeded its year-to-date budget by 2.42 percent and last year’s total by more than 8 percent, as it posted $1.003 billion in home sales, with 6,534 total “units” for the first nine months of its fiscal year..
The firm has previously posted total sales for a full year of $1.3 billion, but at its current pace, it’ll hit $1.34 billion this year.
The 101-year-old, family-owned company has also been growing, relocating some branches to newer and better locations and investing in new initiatives, said President and CEO Peter F. Hunt.
“It should be news to no one in the business world that you get out of your business what you put into your business,” he said in a press release. “While other companies have been scaling back, we have been growing, and providing our sales professionals with the innovative, industry-leading tools they need.”
Hunt, an affiliate of the ERA network, was ranked 34th out of the top 300 brokers nationwide in “closed transaction sides” by a national research firm. The firm has 35 branches in Western, central and upstate New York, as well as Phoenix, Ariz., and also owns a mortgage banking firm, two insurance agencies, a title agency, a home building company and a fee-for-service brokerage.
